We believe that every child deserves to have access to affordable, safe, fun, creative and athletic dance training regardless of their ethnic background, social economic status or ability. The only 'disability' to us is a negative attitude!
We believe that children excel when they learn dance to become 'creative athletes' and where health, well-being, community, cultural diversity and creativity are at the cornerstone of their dance training.
We are a revolutionary new dance training institute in Australia.
As Australia's first multicultural community and student-centred dance training institute, 100% of our profits go back into our young dancers, charity, the local community and in providing dance education opportunities (via scholarships) for young people in need.
Our training focuses on building creative athletes through a foundation of health and well-being through active, fun and creative participation in dance education.
We incorporate the Finnish system for education (click here for more information) who have a "history of producing the highest global test scores in the Western world, as well as a trophy case full of other recent No. 1 global rankings..". By adopting this system into dance education, our young dancers become top 'performers' in all areas of their life whilst having terrific fun!
We also nourish and nurture our fabulous parents :-) This means no meaningless exams, endless concerts and or barrages of constant DVD/photo that overwhelms and burdens busy parents. Instead we focus on how we can best support you even if that means giving your child a lift to and from class!
All our teachers are creative, fit, healthy, positive and inspiring role models who are not just fabulous teachers but also have successful professional dance careers. They lead by example! In fact we don't call them 'teachers' instead we call them 'dance coaches' as we believe in bringing out the best in every child through 'high-performance coaching'.
All our teachers hold a Working with Children’s Check, Police Checks, First aid certifications and hold relevant dance and education qualifications.
Partial and fully funded scholarship are available for young people from a disadvantaged background and are not based on talent or technical dance ability. All you need is a Health Care/Low Income Card and an application form. Applications for scholarships can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our training program includes cultural dance styles such as traditional African, Bollywood, traditional Chinese and Malaysian dance, Indigenous Dance, Polynesian Dance and Bharatanatyam (Indian classical dance). We also incorporate all abilities into our classrooms.
The Tarneit Dance Training Institute is for young people between the ages of 3-18 years of age and is held in the Wyndham area.
As a not for profit organisation, we exist 100% for our young dancers. Everything we do is driven by and for them. So all profits go back into the community, into funding scholarships for those in need and back into the needs of our young students and their famalies.
We are currently taking enrolments into this dynamic and innovative new program.
